Donation Allocation

Humor to Fight the Tumor Foundation is committed to be good stewards with your generous donations. 100% of net proceeds go back to those institutions who are committed to researching brain tumors or patient services.

We have partnered with three renowned institutions that will use funds from the gala to advance research efforts on a national level and close to home. We are continuing our long-standing partnership with the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) and have developed new partnerships with the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. We will also continue our tradition of granting funds to organizations in our local community to help improve the quality of life for individuals and families dealing with brain tumors.

2025 grants have to been awarded to:

  • 22% – The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), in partnership with the Brain Tumor Funders’ Collaborative (BTFC), is on a mission to revolutionize brain tumor diagnosis and monitoring with cutting-edge liquid biopsy technology.
  • 43% – The University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center will use its grant mon to fund an exciting project exploring the use of genetically modified Natural Killer Cells (NKCs) as a groundbreaking immunotherapy for recurrent WHO grade 4 astrocytoma/glioblastoma (G4A/GBM.
  • 22% – The Mayo Clinic, in collaboration with the Central Nervous System/Neuro-Oncology Disease Team will use its grant Humor to Fight the Tumor to push the boundaries of brain tumor diagnosis and treatment through next-generation sequencing (NGS).
  • 13% – Fund-a-Case recipients are Angel Foundation, HopeKids, Mayo Charity Care, and Pinky Sweater
